Podcasts are cool. (Part 2)

I love podcasts. And I kind of talk to my friends about them too much. Then I thought, wait, I can just talk about it on the internet! So here I am, doing just that.

This is part two of my podcast recommendation mini-series. These are all podcasts meant (air quotes) for kids.

Part 1: Random but fascinating stories

Unknown

WOW IN THE WORLD

Description: “We’ll go deep into the coolest new stories in science and technology.”

Mindy and Guy host the show. Mindy is silly and super enthusiastic while Guy is on the skeptical side and has at least one foot grounded in reality. With a rocking theme song and tons of special effect noises, this podcast BLASTS fun into your ears.

Episode recommendation: A Hermit Crab Housing Crisis And The Great Human Vs. Rabbit Race

CLASSICS FOR KIDS

Description: Each episode focuses on a small detail of classical music.

I love how it’s so short and easy to digest. And look at that dude! He has PURPLE hair, and he’s wearing a yellow jacket, a red shirt, and green pants. I think the world’s next fashion icon has arrived.

Episode recommendation: Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov: The Tale of Tsar Saltan (That name is a MOUTHFUL.)

But_Why_medium

BUT WHY: A PODCAST FOR CURIOUS KIDS

Description: “But Why is a show led by kids. They ask the questions and we find the answers.”

Because this show is designed for kids, the adults give super understandable explanations on topics that would confuse me in circles if I searched them up on Wikipedia. Plus, the podcast has an awesome name.

Episode suggestion: Are Yawns Really Contagious?

TUMBLE SCIENCE PODCAST FOR KIDS

Description: “Exploring stories of science discovery.”

Episode recommendation: The Case of the Invisibility Cloak with Andrea Ala (What would YOU do with an invisibility cloak?)
